Fox Searchlight Picture’s December 2007 coming-of-age comedy Juno, directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking). The narrative centers on whip-smart Juno (Ellen Page, in a breakthrough role), a teenage girl faced with an unplanned pregnancy from an afternoon with the charmingly unassuming Bleeker (Michael Cera). Juno finds her unborn baby the perfect set of parents in Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), an affluent suburban couple who are eager to adopt. Along with the total support of her parents, (Allison Janney and J.K. Simmons) Juno conquers her problems head-on, displaying a youthful exuberance that is both smart and unexpected. The film was an official selection at this year’s Telluride, Toronto, and London film festivals and received the Best Film award at the Rome International Film Festival. Plus the orange vinyl makes it near impossible to resist showing it off. Could you imagine juno without this soundtrack. It stands up just as well, if not better, without the movie. We all know thats half the reason we love vinyl. along with an excuse to buy those nicer speakers so you can hear Kimya Dawson singing in your living room.
The cd came in a reasonable time, the price was great, and it was still in the original wrapping. It came NEW as advertised. I didnt open it yet because it's part of my daughter's Xmas gift, but I'm pretty sure the cd should play good.
What I love most about this CD is the listening ease of the songs. Yes there are a few that I skip over (tracks 8 & 18 specifically) but I pretty much listened to this CD non-stop for the first month after I purchased it. The songs are mellow and endearing.I believe Amazon provides samples of each track if you're not sure this is your kind of music. Buy and enjoy.

If you loved the music while you watched the movie, you'll love this soundtrack. Normally I am not one to pick up soundtracks at all, but I fell in love with almost every one of these songs during the movie, and I do not regret picking this up. It is upbeat and romantic, and makes me feel like a young school girl falling in love for the first time all over again. I just love this.
